Every economist expected MAS to tighten on Tuesday. It held — and the banks fell anyway, CoreWeave’s bonds slid to a 15% yield, TSMC printed a record quarter and still sold off, and one member explained why he closed a position that wasn’t broken.

Featured⭐️ Community Spotlight | The Banks Got Cheaper to Buy. Then Everyone Sold Them.

On Monday SGX cut the board lot on DBS, OCBC and UOB to 10 shares — one lot of DBS fell from S$7,721 to S$772. By Thursday the same three banks were more than 60% of all short selling on the market, and members had taken both halves apart.

Micron printed US$54.23b and the stock closed flat, CICT's distributable income rose 13% while the units kept falling, and one member sold DBS for a S$1.49 gain before it ran another S$18 — a week about the gap between a number and a price.

The 30-year went to a level last seen in 2004 — and members worked out what that does to S-REITs, to gold, to a SanDisk target of US$2,400, and to a dividend that was raised on a tenth of the cash flow.

📊《Weekend Market Watch》|Which sectors are worth watching next week?

The market experienced significant volatility this week, but the hot spots remained relatively concentrated.

If I had to choose the key areas to focus on next week, I would put them in these sectors.

① AI — Still the Main Theme

The AI story is not over yet.

Whether it's computing power, data centers, or enterprise applications, there is still room for continued development.

There might be short-term fluctuations, but I believe AI remains one of the most noteworthy directions for the next few years.

② Semiconductors — Focus on Whether Capital Flows Back In

After a round of gains, the semiconductor sector has recently seen some divergence.

I believe if capital flows back into the tech sector next week, semiconductors are still worth close attention.

Especially in sub-sectors related to AI, such as chips, memory, and advanced packaging.

③ Quantum Computing — Watch for Opportunities, Don't Blindly Chase Highs

Quantum computing is a long-term track.

Every time there is news-driven momentum, stock price volatility tends to be significant.

I prefer to monitor it continuously rather than chase highs due to short-term rallies.

Real opportunities often emerge when the market is calm.

④ Robotics — Bullish Long-term, But Patience is Required

Robotics is one of the key areas for AI implementation.

In the coming years, both industrial robots and humanoid robots have substantial growth potential.

However, many companies are still in their growth phase, so short-term volatility may be quite noticeable.

My Personal View

The market sees new hot spots every day.

But what's truly worth investing in is not the stock that rises the most today, but the industries that still have room for growth in the coming years.

I will continue to focus on:

✅ AI

✅ Semiconductors

✅ Memory

✅ Robotics

Short-term, watch sentiment; long-term, watch the trend.

The above is just my personal opinion and does not constitute any investment advice.

Which sector are you most bullish on for next week? Let's discuss together.
