# US Stock Options | NVIDIA and Tesla both traded over 2 million contracts! AMD and Apple are also going crazy.

Last Friday, the three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher, with chip stocks outperforming the market while bank stocks suffered.

### Overview of U.S. Stock Options Trading

The top ten U.S. stock options traded last Friday were: NVIDIA, Tesla, AMD, Apple, Meta, Palantir Tech, Amazon, Marathon Digital, New York Community Bank, and Microsoft.

Specifically:

-   NVIDIA rose by 4%, with options trading of 2.28 million contracts, and call options accounting for 57.9%. Nearly 190,000 call options with a strike price of $820 and expiring on the same day were traded.
    
-   Tesla saw a slight increase, with options trading of 2.18 million contracts, and call options accounting for 64.6%. Call options with strike prices of $200 and $202.5 both traded over 200,000 contracts.
    
-   AMD surged over 5%, with options trading of 1.94 million contracts, and call options accounting for 65.7%. Nearly 230,000 call options with a strike price of $200 were traded.
    

Apple experienced a slight decline, with options trading of 1.8 million contracts, and call options accounting for 62.7%. Over 90,000 call options with a strike price of $180 and expiring on March 8th were traded.

Meta rose nearly 3%, with options trading of 700,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 66.2%. Nearly 90,000 call options with a strike price of $500 were traded.

Palantir Tech and Amazon both traded over 500,000 contracts, mainly in call options.

Marathon Digital surged over 4%, with options trading of nearly 500,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 68.4%.

New York Community Bank plummeted by 26%, with options trading surging to 440,000 contracts, and put options accounting for 73.4%. Nearly 80,000 put options with a strike price of $2.5 and expiring on March 15th were traded.

Nio saw a slight increase, with options trading of 265,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 62%.
