# Night Trading | TSMC surged 5.7% at one point, driving the semiconductor sector higher

Changwan News learned that today at noon, TSMC announced its first-quarter performance, which exceeded expectations:

Q1 revenue increased by 16.5% year-on-year, with EPS growth of 8.9%.

The night market stock price surged nearly 6% at one point, currently up by about 3%:

Other semiconductor stocks also rose in the night market, with SOXL up by 3.8%, Micron up by 3%, NVIDIA and ARM up by 2.6%:

The earnings call also revealed some important information, including performance guidance, the impact of electricity prices on gross margin, capital expenditures, advanced processes, AI, etc
