# Naixue Tea: Net addition of 23 Naixue Tea directly operated stores in the first quarter

> In the first quarter, Nayuki Tea added a net of 23 directly operated stores, while closing 28 stores. As of March 31st, the company operated a total of 1597 directly operated stores and 205 franchise stores. Despite being in the off-season and with demand not fully recovered, the Nayuki Eight Fragrances series still performed well. The company expects that this base effect will last at least until April 2024. At the same time, the company has optimized its requirements for franchisees, reducing investment amounts to promote the continuous growth of franchise business

According to the news from Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, Nayuki's Tea (02150) announced that in the three-month quarter ending on March 31, 2024, the group added a net of 23 Nayuki's Tea self-operated stores and closed 28 Nayuki's Tea self-operated stores. As of March 31, 2024, the group operates a total of 1597 Nayuki's Tea self-operated stores, with an additional 205 Nayuki's Tea franchise stores, mainly concentrated in medium and low-tier cities.

Due to factors such as low temperatures, this quarter was a low season for the group's business, and the group did not see signs of rapid demand recovery. Nevertheless, the "Nayuki Eight Fragrances" series still performed well. In addition, in early 2023, due to factors such as the end of the epidemic and the relaxation of public health control measures, the stores performed excellently. The group expects that this base effect will last at least until April 2024. In terms of franchise business, in February 2024, the group optimized its requirements for franchisees, making store formats more flexible, reducing area requirements, and lowering the investment amount per store to RMB 580,000. This will help reduce the financial pressure on franchisees and support the continued growth of the franchise business
