# CAAM: In April, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 358,000 and 357,000 respectively, with month-on-month decreases of 18.3% and 22% respectively

The sales volume of passenger vehicles increased year-on-year, while the production volume of trucks slightly decreased with a slight increase in sales. The production and sales volume of medium-sized passenger vehicles showed double-digit growth, while the production volume of light passenger vehicles decreased. The production volume of large passenger vehicles saw a slight decrease, while the sales volume slightly increased. The production and sales volume of the three major categories of passenger vehicles showed varying degrees of growth. The production and sales volume of trucks all showed a declining trend, with a slight increase in the production and sales volume of light trucks, a decrease in the production volume of heavy trucks, a decrease in the production volume and an increase in sales volume of medium trucks, and an increase in the production volume and a decrease in sales volume of mini trucks

According to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers obtained by Zhitong Finance APP, in April 2024, among the main types of commercial vehicles, compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of buses showed a double-digit growth, while the production of trucks slightly decreased and sales slightly increased. Compared with the previous month, the production and sales of medium-sized buses showed a double-digit growth, while the production of light buses showed a double-digit decrease, and the production of large buses slightly decreased while sales slightly increased; compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of the three major types of buses all showed different degrees of growth.

From January to April 2024, the production and sales of buses reached 159,000 and 158,000 respectively, with year-on-year increases of 11.4% and 14.7%. Compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of the three major types of buses all showed different degrees of growth, with the growth rate of medium-sized buses being the most significant.

In April 2024, the production and sales of trucks reached 312,000 and 313,000 respectively, with a month-on-month decrease of 19.5% and 22.8%, a year-on-year production decrease of 0.6%, and a sales increase of 1%. Compared with the previous month, the production and sales of the four major types of trucks all showed different degrees of decline; compared with the same period last year, the production of light trucks slightly increased, the production of heavy trucks showed different degrees of decline, the production of medium trucks decreased while sales increased, and the production of mini trucks increased while sales decreased. From January to April 2024, the production and sales of trucks reached 1.195 million and 1.232 million respectively, with year-on-year increases of 3% and 7.3%. Compared with the same period last year, the production of light trucks slightly decreased while sales slightly increased, and the other three major types of trucks all showed different degrees of growth
