# IMF expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates later this year, once again advising the United States to control its debt levels

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated that it still believes the Federal Reserve can start cutting interest rates later this year and should remain cautious, despite the boost to expectations of an earlier rate cut from the month-on-month decline in the US CPI in June. It reiterated the policy recommendations recently made by the IMF, emphasizing that the US should control its continuously growing debt
