According to the Financial Times (FT) report, China's Transsion Holdings, the world's fourth-largest smartphone manufacturer listed in Shenzhen, is facing lawsuits from Qualcomm and Koninklijke Philips N.V. for alleged intellectual property infringement.

Qualcomm had earlier filed a lawsuit against Transsion in India and has made claims of patent infringement in Europe and China. According to court documents, Koninklijke Philips N.V. has also filed a lawsuit against Transsion in India.

A spokesperson for Transsion stated, "We respect the intellectual property rights of third parties," and mentioned that the company is willing to reach intellectual property licensing agreements with patent owners through "friendly negotiations." "We have signed a 5G standard patent licensing agreement with Qualcomm and are fulfilling that agreement."

Court documents show that in January of this year, Koninklijke Philips N.V. also filed an intellectual property lawsuit against Transsion in India. Koninklijke Philips N.V. declined to comment. Transsion declined to provide specific comments on the Koninklijke Philips N.V. case.
