# Apple's shipment volume increases, coupled with the demand boost from the Olympics, LG Display's losses narrow

South Korean flat panel display manufacturer LG Display narrowed its quarterly loss compared to the same period last year, as the shipment volume of new panels for Apple increased. Analysts indicated that the demand for large OLED panels and TV LCD display panels has increased due to the boost in demand before the Olympics. LG Display reported an operating loss of 940 billion Korean won, exceeding the SmartEstimate forecast of a loss of 308 billion Korean won, while the company reported a loss of 881 billion Korean won in the same period last year
