# NVIDIA's stock price volatility exceeds that of Bitcoin

With the push of the artificial intelligence boom, NVIDIA, one of the hottest US stocks, has seen volatility even surpassing that of Bitcoin. Boosted by industry companies investing in NVIDIA chips, the company's stock price had been soaring significantly, but it dropped by 7% on Tuesday, marking the largest decline in over three months and reducing its market value by $193 billion.

Since July 10th, NVIDIA's stock price has fallen by 23%, highlighting a risk reversal that was not paid attention to when the stock was rising: at least by one key indicator, its volatility is roughly twice that of Bitcoin. Despite the price pullback this month, NVIDIA has still risen by about 109% year-to-date, outperforming any other stock in the S&P 500 index, except for another company benefiting from AI application device investments, Super Micro Computer Inc
