# On August 21, Tencent Holdings Limited spent HKD 1.002 billion to repurchase 2.7 million shares

According to the news from Zhitong Finance APP, Tencent Holdings (00700) announced that the company repurchased 2.7 million shares for HKD 1.002 billion on August 21, 2024, at a repurchase price of HKD 365.4-373.6 per share.

On the same day, 12,800 shares were issued by exercising stock options under the 2023 stock option plan adopted on May 17, 2023
