# There is a risk of detachment for car accessories, Tesla will recall over 9,000 Model X vehicles in the United States

According to the financial news app Zhitong Finance, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) disclosed that Tesla (TSLA.US) will recall 9,136 Model X vehicles due to the risk of the roof decoration detaching, increasing the risk of collisions.

This marks a rare physical recall for Tesla, as the company typically addresses car issues through wireless software updates.

According to data from the recall management platform developer Bizzycar, in the first half of this year, Tesla recalled nearly 2.6 million vehicles due to safety issues, second only to Ford (F.US), which recalled approximately 3.6 million vehicles in the United States.

NHTSA stated that Tesla will test the adhesion of the roof decorations and, if necessary, reinstall them at no cost to the owners
