# Apple Inc. and OpenAI have placed orders with Taiwan Semiconductor for cutting-edge A16 chips

According to Taiwan's "Economic Daily News," Apple has already reserved the cutting-edge A16 chip from Taiwan Semiconductor. OpenAI has also placed orders through its chip design companies Broadcom and Marvell. It is expected that Taiwan Semiconductor will begin mass production of the A16 chip in the second half of 2026
