# Deputy Governor Hauser of the Reserve Bank of Australia: RBA is expected to stand pat

Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Andrew Hauser, stated that Australian interest rates may remain unchanged in the near future, as local inflation is "a bit stickier" compared to the United States. "We are not as confident as Fed Chairman Powell, not as certain that Australian inflation will return to a sustainable path towards the target," Hauser said in a podcast
