# U.S. Stock Market News | NVIDIA falls more than 5.4%, Morgan Stanley says this round of semiconductor cycle is about to peak

According to the financial news app Zhitong Finance, on Tuesday, most of the semiconductor sector experienced a decline. As of the time of publication, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) fell by over 5.4%, AMD (AMD.US) fell by over 3.7%, Micron Tech (MU.US) fell by nearly 5%, Intel (INTC.US) fell by 4.8%. Shawn Kim, a stock analyst at Morgan Stanley, and his team released a report stating that the semiconductor industry has entered the late stage of the cycle and is about to peak.

Super Micro Computer (SMCI.US) bucked the trend and rose by nearly 5%. Super Micro Computer's CEO, Charles Liang, stated in a letter to customers, "I still have full confidence in the company's financial condition and internal team." "When we announced the decision to delay the submission of the annual report, we stated that based on the work done so far, we do not expect any significant adjustments to the performance of the fourth quarter or fiscal year 2024."
