This is one of NVIDIA's largest investments in the field of artificial intelligence in Japan to date. Reports indicate that Sakana AI completed the Series A financing round on Wednesday, led by New Enterprise Associates, Khosla Ventures, and Lux Capital, with NVIDIA also participating. Furthermore, it is reported that Sakana AI raised approximately 20 billion yen (about $137 million) in the Series A financing. NVIDIA will invest several billion yen (tens of millions of dollars), seemingly as the largest contributor, and will become a major shareholder of Sakana AI. Following this financing round, Sakana AI's valuation will exceed $1 billion. It is worth mentioning that Sakana AI announced new cooperation with NVIDIA in research, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence community development in Japan. Sakana AI has already begun using small datasets to train low-cost generative artificial intelligence models. The company has launched several artificial intelligence models for Japanese users this year, demonstrating how quickly Japanese companies are improving their capabilities in this field. The company states that its algorithms can help automatically create artificial intelligence models by mimicking natural selection to process language or images, thereby reducing the amount of manual input required. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang expressed particular interest in Sakana AI's efforts to promote artificial intelligence in Japan. Huang stated, "Countries around the world are embracing sovereign AI through their unique large language models, capturing and compiling their data, culture, and language." "Sakana AI's team is helping to drive the popularization of artificial intelligence in Japan." ### Related Stocks - [Direxion Daily Semicondct Bull 3X ETF (SOXL.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SOXL.US.md) - [NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDA.US.md) - [VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMH.US.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Long NVDA Daily ETF (NVDL.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDL.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [Royal Fund Management LLC Cuts Stake in ARM Holdings PLC Sponsored ADR $ARM](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281341514.md) - [TSMC Gets Nod to Deploy 3nm Process at Japan Fab](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281343240.md) - [Phancy Group Narrows Loss in 2025](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281018345.md) - [SILICOM'S FIRST QUARTER 2026 RESULTS RELEASE SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 30, 2026 | SILC Stock News](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281187073.md) - [TSMC's Supply Squeeze Through 2028 Could Be This Chipmaker's Big Break As AI Demand From Nvidia, Apple Surges](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281141442.md)
