This list evaluates the competitiveness of 200 banks based on indicators such as bank safety, liquidity, and profitability. Among the top ten banks are 5 large state-owned commercial banks, 3 joint-stock banks, and 2 city commercial banks On September 6, "Tsinghua Financial Review" released the "2024 Top 200 Chinese Banking Competitiveness Rankings: Overall List \*\*". This list combines the "three 性原则" of commercial banks, selecting indicators from three aspects: safety, liquidity, and profitability. These indicators include capital adequacy ratio, non-performing loan ratio, provision coverage ratio, liquidity ratio, loan-to-deposit ratio, net profit, ROE, net interest margin, cost-to-income ratio, and other important indicators of banking operations. Through scientific and innovative research methods, an objective and comprehensive competitiveness ranking is formed, vividly and clearly reflecting the competitive landscape of China's banking industry. Specifically, among the top 10 banks, there are 5 large state-owned commercial banks, 3 joint-stock commercial banks, and 2 city commercial banks, all scoring above 85 points. Among them, China Merchants Bank topped the list with a competitiveness score of 92.85 points; China Construction Bank ranked second with a competitiveness score of 89.91 points, approaching the 90-point mark; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China ranked third; China Postal Savings Bank and Agricultural Bank of China ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
