# U.S. Stock Market Update | Chip stocks rise, NVIDIA surges more than 2.8%

According to CNBC, on Wednesday, chip stocks rose. As of the time of publication, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM.US) rose by 0.62%, AMD (AMD.US) rose by over 1%, Super Micro Computer Inc. (SMCI.US) rose by over 1.7%, and NVIDIA (NVDA.US) rose by over 2.8%. In terms of news, regulatory filings show that after nearly three months of selling off shares, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang finally completed his pre-arranged stock sale plan, cashing out over $700 million
