The main board turnover decreased to 261.3 billion yuan, shrinking for the fourth consecutive day. All sector indices fell, with the technology index dropping by about 4.7%. Consumer stocks performed poorly, with China Resources Beer plummeting nearly 13%. Heavyweight stocks such as AIA, China Life Insurance, etc., fell by close to 4% to 5%. Some utility stocks rose against the market trend The afternoon decline in the Hong Kong stock market intensified significantly, with the Hang Seng Index falling below 21,000 points, testing the 20-day moving average support.
