# eBay adds Alipay as a convenient payment option for Chinese buyers

> eBay collaborates with Antom, a subsidiary of Ant Group, to add Alipay as a new payment option for Chinese buyers on November 9th. This move allows buyers in mainland China to use Alipay when shopping on eBay, enjoying a seamless and secure payment service. Liu Zheng, General Manager of Ant International, stated that the aim is to provide customers with a reliable payment experience through local payment solutions and to open up new development opportunities for global merchants

On November 9th, eBay partnered with Antom, a subsidiary of Ant Group, to add Alipay as a new payment option on the platform. This collaboration allows buyers in mainland China to use Alipay for purchases on eBay, enjoying a seamless, secure, and localized payment service. Liu Zheng, General Manager of Antom, stated: "Ant Group is committed to connecting merchants with more markets and consumers through open cooperation and continuous innovation to achieve greater growth. By providing local payment solutions, we aim to create a smooth and reliable payment experience for customers and open up new development opportunities for global merchants."
