# Qimai Research Institute: Tencent's new game "Delta Action" becomes the biggest dark horse in October

> The popular game ranking for October 2024 released by Qimai Research Institute shows that Tencent's mobile game "Delta Force" has become the biggest dark horse in October, ranking first in the download chart. This game is a sequel to the classic shooting IP "Delta Force". Before the public beta, the reservation volume exceeded 50 million. Tencent performed outstandingly in the ranking, with 10 products listed, and the top three in the revenue chart were also all occupied by Tencent

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, recently, Qimai Data released the popular game rankings for October 2024, which include the Top 30 popular game downloads and the Top 30 popular game revenues. In terms of popular game downloads, Tencent (00700) swept the Top 3, with the mobile game "Delta Force" launched at the end of September continuing to perform well in October, successfully occupying the Top 1 spot, while the Top 2 and Top 3 were the classic mobile games "Honor of Kings" and "Peacekeeper Elite."

As a cross-platform FPS game (first-person shooter) under Tencent, "Delta Force" is a new generation sequel to the classic shooting IP "Delta Force." With near-console game quality and the backing of a classic IP, this game was highly anticipated even before its launch, with over 50 million reservations across the internet before the public beta.

In terms of new entries in the mobile game rankings, 10 new products entered the list in October, with only "Delta Force," "Hearthstone," and "Moonlight Journey" being recently launched mobile games.

From the perspective of game categories entering the rankings, action mobile games had the highest number of entries, with 7 games making the list, followed by casual mobile games, which had 5 entries.

Regarding the game publishers of the ranked games, Tencent had 10 products on the list, NetEase (09999) had 6 products, and the publisher Leyou Technologies also performed impressively with 2 products on the list, namely "Subway Surfers" and "Temple Run 2." Among them, "Subway Surfers" launched a second collaboration with the domestic anime IP "Milk Dragon" on October 24, adding characters like the cool Tyrannosaurus and launching multiple benefits related to the Milk Dragon IP. This month, the game's ranking rose significantly, occupying the Top 11 in downloads.

The Top 3 of the popular game revenue rankings were also dominated by "Tencent," which included "Honor of Kings," "Dungeon & Fighter: Origins," and "Peacekeeper Elite."

In October, only 5 new products entered the revenue rankings, namely "Hearthstone," "Like a Kite," "QQ Speed," "Light: Encounter," and "Delta Force."

From the perspective of game categories entering the revenue rankings, action mobile games had the highest number of entries, with 8 games making the list, followed by strategy mobile games, which had 5 entries.

In terms of the publishers of the games in the Top 30 popular game revenue rankings for October, Tencent had 11 products on the list, while NetEase had 7 products
