# CATHAY PAC AIR: Round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Seoul are currently operating as usual

> CATHAY PAC AIR stated that flights between Hong Kong and Seoul are currently operating normally and are closely monitoring the situation in South Korea. The Tourism Commission and the Travel Industry Council confirmed that about 24 tour groups and 360 tourists are in South Korea, and no requests for assistance have been received, with itineraries unaffected. If the situation worsens or the Hong Kong government issues a warning, they will consider canceling trips and arranging for tourists to return to Hong Kong

On the evening of December 3rd local time, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol suddenly conducted a television broadcast, announcing the implementation of "emergency martial law." The South Korean National Assembly held an emergency meeting in the early hours of the 4th to vote on "requesting the lifting of the emergency martial law." 190 members attended the meeting, with 170 voting in favor, and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Kim Jin-pyo, subsequently announced the emergency martial law invalid. According to reports from Hong Kong Radio, Cathay Pacific stated that flights between Hong Kong and Seoul are currently operating as usual and will closely monitor the situation's developments
