> Zeng Gang, chief expert and director of the Shanghai Financial and Development Laboratory, stated to reporters that in the past period, the risk disposal and resolution of small and medium-sized financial institutions have been progressing in an orderly manner. The overall approach is to reduce quantity and improve quality through mergers and reorganizations, that is, to supplement capital during the merger and reorganization process. On one hand, this effectively disposes of existing risks, and on the other hand, it enhances the new institution's ability to cope with competition and risks through the scale effects formed after the merger
