# The Trump team suggests ending support for electric vehicles and charging stations

According to a document seen by Reuters, the transition team of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has proposed comprehensive reforms to cut support for electric vehicles and charging stations. During his campaign, Trump vowed to ease regulations on fossil fuel vehicles and to eliminate the electric vehicle policies of the Biden administration. The document indicates that the transition team also suggested imposing tariffs on all battery materials globally to boost U.S. production, followed by negotiations with allies for individual exemptions
