# Guangdong Provincial People's Government: Strictly and reasonably control coal consumption

Notice from the Guangdong Provincial People's Government on the issuance of the "Guangdong Province 2024-2025 Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Action Plan." It mentions the strict and reasonable control of coal consumption. Strengthen the clean and efficient utilization of coal, promote the low-carbon transformation and construction of coal-fired power, and advance the "three transformations" of energy conservation and carbon reduction, flexibility transformation, and heating transformation for coal-fired power. Increase the proportion of electricity coal consumption, vigorously reduce non-electric coal use, and continuously promote the shutdown and integration of coal-fired boilers, the replacement of industrial kilns with clean energy, and the governance of scattered coal. Under the premise of ensuring electricity and heat supply, promote the shutdown and integration of biomass boilers (including gasification furnaces), coal-fired boilers that have not completed ultra-low emission transformation, and coal-fired small thermal power units (including self-owned power plants) within a heating radius of 15 kilometers for cogeneration units of 300,000 kilowatts and above. By the end of 2025, reasonably control the coal consumption in the Pearl River Delta region under the premise of ensuring energy and electricity supply
