Teladoc Health's stock price rises in response to partnership with Amazon

Healthcare technology company Teladoc Health announced on Monday a partnership with Amazon, allowing eligible Amazon customers to register for Teladoc's diabetes, hypertension, prediabetes, and weight management programs through Amazon's health benefits connector (formerly known as the Health Status Program). Following this news, Teladoc's stock rose nearly 9% in pre-market trading on Tuesday. It is worth mentioning that the two companies had previously collaborated. In 2022, Teladoc announced that U.S. patients could access some of Teladoc's virtual healthcare services through Amazon's Alexa. Through this service, patients can obtain information about common medications, refill prescriptions, and arrange appointments with certain hospitals. This service is applicable for non-emergency general medical needs, such as symptoms of colds, flu, or allergies
