# WORLDUNION elects Chen Weicheng as chairman

According to the announcement from WORLDUNION (002285.SZ), the company's board of directors recently received a written resignation letter from Mr. Hu Jia, who has applied to resign from his positions as director, chairman, and related roles in the board's special committees for personal reasons. His resignation will take effect from the date it is delivered to the board of directors, and after his resignation, Mr. Hu Jia will not hold any positions in the company or its subsidiaries.

In light of Mr. Hu Jia's application to resign as chairman, the company will hold the sixteenth meeting of the sixth board of directors on January 16, 2025, to review and approve the proposal on the election of the company's chairman. The board of directors has agreed to elect Mr. Chen Weicheng as the chairman of the company, with a term starting from the date of the board's approval until the end of the sixth board's term
