# ZEC issues a profit warning, expecting a net loss of 500 million to 600 million yuan for the year 2024

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, ZEC (688707.SH) announced a pre-loss notice for its 2024 annual performance, expecting a net loss attributable to the owners of the parent company of 500 million to 600 million yuan compared to the same period last year (statutory disclosure data).

The main reason for the performance change this period: Currently, the commercial application of new energy vehicle power batteries includes lithium iron phosphate batteries and ternary lithium-ion batteries, among which the positive materials required for ternary lithium-ion batteries are mainly divided into 5 series, 6 series, and 8 series ternary materials based on the elemental composition ratio. During the reporting period, the company's main products were ternary materials, primarily focusing on 8 series and 5 series, with 6 series being less common
