# UK Watchdog Initiates Probe Into Entain's FY22 Report

> The UK's Financial Reporting Council has initiated an investigation into KPMG's audit of Entain's financial report for FY22. The probe, conducted by the Enforcement Division under the Audit Enforcement Procedure, focuses solely on the statutory auditor and does not involve other entities. KPMG UK stated it will cooperate fully with the investigation, while Entain has not yet commented on the matter.

UK's Financial Reporting Council launched an investigation into KPMG's audit of sports betting and gaming company Entain's consolidated financial report for the year ended Dec. 31, 2022.

The auditor, accountants and actuaries regulator said Monday the probe will be carried out by its Enforcement Division under the Audit Enforcement Procedure. It noted that the investigation only concerns the relevant statutory auditor or companies, and does not include other persons or entities.

A spokesperson for KPMG UK told MT Newswires that the company intends to fully cooperate with the council to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Entain, meanwhile, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
