# UNIVERSE ENT issued a profit warning, expecting a mid-term loss of approximately HKD 67.6 million to HKD 77.6 million

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, UNIVERSE ENT (01046) announced that the group expects to incur a loss of approximately HKD 67.6 million to HKD 77.6 million for the six-month period ending December 31, 2024. For the six-month period ending December 31, 2023, the group recorded a profit of approximately HKD 52,000 in the previous period.

Compared to the previous period, the increase in losses for the group during this period is mainly due to an increase in film copyright impairment losses of approximately HKD 64.5 million, as revenue/expected revenue from film copyrights has decreased
