# The Nasdaq Biotechnology Index closed up over 1.6%

Component stock Precigen rose by 18.58%, Amarin (AMRN) increased by 16.17%, and GRAIL rose by 14.71%, ranking third and leading the components of the Nasdaq 100 index. MaxCyte, on the other hand, fell by 5.93%, marking the third largest decline, while 10X Genomics dropped by 8.65% and Pacific Biosciences of California fell by 8.84%
