# The General Office of the People's Government of Liaoning Province issued "Several Measures to Increase the Acquisition of Existing Commercial Housing and Further Enhance Housing Security Capacity"

It is proposed that from 2025 to 2027, the province will add 120,000 rental-type affordable housing units through the acquisition of existing commercial housing, including 20,000 public rental housing units and 100,000 affordable rental housing units. A certain number of existing commercial housing units will be acquired for use as allocated affordable housing and elderly care service housing. In 2025, the province will add 45,000 rental-type affordable housing units through the acquisition of existing commercial housing, including 10,000 public rental housing units and 35,000 affordable rental housing units. The transformation of urban villages will be implemented for 26,000 households
