# IMAX Spring Festival: First day sets double records for box office and attendance, with revenue of 88 million

On the first day of the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, IMAX China earned 88 million RMB, surpassing the best opening record for the Spring Festival in 2021. At the same time, with 1.2 million moviegoers, it set a new record for the highest number of attendees on the first day of the Spring Festival. With these two records achieved simultaneously, it marks a strong start to the year. Additionally, IMAX China holds 5% of the market share with only 1% of the screen count, and 7 out of the top 10 cinemas in terms of national box office are IMAX theaters, highlighting the audience's strong enthusiasm for the IMAX audiovisual experience.
