# The Mexican Automotive Parts Association warns: U.S. car prices may rise by an average of $3,000

The National Association of Automotive Parts Manufacturers of Mexico warned on Saturday that due to the tariffs imposed by the United States on Mexico and Canada, the average price of cars in the U.S. is expected to rise by $3,000, and car sales may decrease by 1 million units. INA represents more than 700 automotive parts manufacturing plants in Mexico. The association stated that the tariffs will lead to increased production costs and consumer prices, partly because automotive parts may cross the borders of the three countries up to eight times during the production process. INA also warned that the tariffs could affect product supply and disrupt the supply chain
