How fast can robots produce robots? MIDEA's Fang Hongbo: An average of one unit rolls off the production line every 30 minutes
"Guangdong has a first-class business environment, a strong manufacturing foundation, and a complete industrial system. With the care and support of the provincial party committee and provincial government, MIDEA's revenue will exceed 400 billion yuan in 2024, setting a new historical high." On February 5th, at the Guangdong High-Quality Development Conference, MIDEA Group Chairman Fang Hongbo introduced the development of the group's robotics industry. "We are also focusing on 'localization' to achieve high quality at a good price," Fang Hongbo said. The MIDEA KUKA Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Park located in Shunde, Foshan, has become the largest industrial robot production base in the country, with cumulative production and delivery of over 80,000 industrial robots. Guangdong's first fully automated production line for "robots producing robots" was born here, and the entire production line is composed of MIDEA robots, capable of working continuously 24 hours a day, with an average of one robot coming off the line every 30 minutes
