# Aosaikang: The registration application for the listing of Isavuconazole Sulfate Capsules has been accepted

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Aosaikang (002755.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Jiangsu Aosaikang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. recently received the "Acceptance Notice" for the marketing authorization application of Itraconazole Sulfate Capsules issued by the National Medical Products Administration.

The announcement shows that Itraconazole Sulfate is a prodrug of the triazole antifungal drug Itraconazole. Itraconazole exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase, thereby blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This drug is used to treat adult patients with invasive aspergillosis and invasive mucormycosis infections
