The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission plans to establish a new central enterprise to integrate and develop national-level data resources

According to a report by the Economic Observer, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council is preparing to establish a new central enterprise named "National Data Group," which aims to promote the interconnection of data resources and build a unified data factor market to facilitate the market-oriented allocation of data resources.

The Economic Observer cited a source close to the SASAC, reporting that the newly established group will be responsible for integrating, operating, and developing national-level data resources, covering multiple key areas such as energy, transportation, finance, healthcare, and industry, promoting the cross-industry and cross-regional flow and sharing of data resources.

The report quoted another person close to the preparation of the new central enterprise as saying that this initiative marks a critical step for China in the market-oriented reform of data factors, aiming to further integrate and optimize national data resources and promote the efficient allocation and deep application of data factors.
