# It is reported that the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission is planning to establish a new central enterprise to integrate and develop national-level data resources

According to reports from the mainland media Economic Observer, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council is preparing to establish a new central enterprise named "National Data Group," which aims to promote the interconnection of data resources and build a unified data factor market to facilitate the market-oriented allocation of data resources. The report cites sources indicating that the newly established central enterprise will be responsible for integrating, operating, and developing national-level data resources, covering multiple key areas such as energy, transportation, finance, healthcare, and industry, promoting the flow and sharing of data resources across industries and regions. The report also states that the initiative aims to further integrate and optimize national data resources, promote the efficient allocation and deep application of data factors, and is expected to address the issues of data resource decentralization and fragmentation. The report cites estimates from the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, which predicts that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the scale of the mainland data circulation market will reach between RMB 500 billion and RMB 1 trillion. According to statistics from the China Business Industry Research Institute, the scale of the mainland data factor market was RMB 166.2 billion last year and is expected to increase to nearly RMB 204.3 billion this year
