# Guangdong Province Governor Wang Weizhong: Encourage autonomous driving technology companies to strengthen deep cooperation with vehicle manufacturing companies

> Guangdong Province Governor Wang Weizhong conducted research on technology innovation enterprises in Guangzhou, emphasizing support for deep cooperation between autonomous driving technology companies and vehicle manufacturing enterprises. He pointed out that Guangzhou has a good foundation for developing the autonomous driving industry and encouraged companies to increase their investment in research and development of core technologies such as autonomous driving algorithms, chips, and systems, in order to enhance intelligence and safety levels, and promote the rapid productization and industrialization of innovative technologies

According to Southern+ client, from February 17 to 18, Guangdong Province Governor Wang Weizhong visited Haizhu District, Huangpu District, Panyu District, and Nansha District in Guangzhou, conducting in-depth research on technological innovation enterprises and new research and development institutions, focusing on building a modern industrial system. Wang Weizhong visited Guangzhou Xiaoma Zhixing Technology Co., Ltd., inspecting the research and application of autonomous driving systems on-site. He stated that Guangzhou, as a major city in the automotive industry, has a solid foundation for developing the autonomous driving industry. He emphasized the need to support enterprises in increasing research and development investment around core technologies such as autonomous driving algorithms, chips, and systems, continuously improving intelligence and safety levels, and encouraging deep cooperation between autonomous driving technology companies and vehicle manufacturing enterprises to jointly promote the rapid commercialization and industrialization of innovative technological achievements
