# Trump claims that the likelihood of reaching a trade agreement with China is very high, Ministry of Foreign Affairs: There are no winners in a trade war or tariff war

Guo Jiaqun stated that China has repeatedly clarified its position on China-U.S. economic and trade issues, emphasizing that there are no winners in a trade war or tariff war, and it harms the interests of people in all countries. "We firmly oppose the U.S. unilateral imposition of tariffs, and both sides should resolve their respective concerns through dialogue and consultation based on equality and mutual respect.
