# MEITU faced major shareholder reduction, dropping over 13%

MEITU **(1357)** announced that major shareholder Cai Wensheng sold 128 million shares of the company through Longlink Capital Ltd from February 17 to February 21, 2025, accounting for approximately 2.81% of the company's total issued shares.

The board was informed by founder, chairman, and CEO Wu Zeyuan that he is confident in the company's future business prospects and will further increase his holdings at an appropriate time after the annual performance announcement and the end of the lock-up period (i.e., after March 18, 2025). In addition, the board also noted that Wu Zeyuan has never reduced his holdings and has increased his stake several times since May 10, 2018, with his most recent increase on June 18, 2024.

MEITU fell as much as 13.41%, marking the largest decline since October 9, 2024, with a drop of 13.48% on that day. It reached a low of 5.36 yuan, the lowest since 5.22 yuan on February 17. It is currently reported at 5.69 yuan, down 8.08%
