He mentioned that the "Creative Smart Program" has approved over 780 cultural and creative projects, many of which have industrialization potential, with a total funding amount of approximately HKD 3.4 billion, benefiting more than 30,000 small and medium-sized enterprises. The government will strategically introduce more cultural and creative enterprises that combine innovation and technology to accelerate the flourishing development of the local creative industry chain. Paul Chan emphasized that the government has been strongly supporting the development of the film industry, with the "Film Development Fund" having allocated over HKD 1.3 billion to support more than 120 films, involving over 110 emerging directors and producers, with related films winning over 180 awards. The fund has also launched the "Mainland Film Market Development Funding Scheme" to encourage Hong Kong film companies and mainland cultural enterprises to invest in and support productions by Hong Kong directors. The first "Hong Kong Arts Expo" was held last October, attracting over 1,600 arts leaders and practitioners from more than 60 countries and regions. Paul Chan explained that the second expo will be held next year, aiming to establish the event as a flagship of Hong Kong's cultural and artistic industry. The government will also continue to effectively utilize the "Cultural and Arts Events Fund" to attract and support international or large-scale cultural and artistic events in Hong Kong, promoting the city as a center for cultural and artistic exchange between China and foreign countries. The authorities have updated the approval criteria, adding requirements for events to drive tourism and economic benefits. He stated that the government will support creators and producers of cultural intellectual property over the next five years, promoting more than 30 cultural intellectual property projects, facilitating cross-sector collaboration within the cultural and creative industries, and increasing the dissemination and commercial value of cultural intellectual property products ### Related Stocks - [301231.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/301231.CN.md) - [600640.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/600640.CN.md) - [002878.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/002878.CN.md) ## Related News & Research - [Iran war fuels economic strain as Europe contracts, prices rise](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287237066.md) - [05:20 ETThrough the America's Most Artistic Kid Competition, Colossal Raises $1.6 Million While Celebrating the Next Gen of Creative Visionaries](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287037755.md) - [Polytechnic students create AI chatbot to improve access to special needs resources and support](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286932477.md) - [The 'Elon Musk Effect' Could Send SpaceX Stock Into Wild Swings After IPO Even If Starlink Makes 'Billions' In Profit, Warns Expert](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286923494.md) - [Wendel publishes presentation for May 21, 2026 annual shareholder meeting](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287222898.md)
