# National Medical Products Administration: Vigorously encourage innovation in cosmetic raw materials and support domestic beauty brands going abroad

Xu Jinghe, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration, conducted research on cosmetics regulation in Hunan, visiting SYG Group Co., Ltd. He held a symposium on the high-quality development of cosmetics with representatives from cosmetics companies, industry associations, medical institutions, higher education institutions, and registered inspection and testing agencies to gain an in-depth understanding of the promotion of the cosmetics safety assessment system, raw material innovation, and quality supervision throughout the entire lifecycle in Hunan Province. Xu Jinghe emphasized the need to strengthen quality supervision throughout the entire lifecycle according to risk management principles, ensure that enterprises fulfill their primary responsibility for quality and safety, maintain a bottom line for cosmetic safety, deepen the reform of review and approval systems, comprehensively strengthen the standard system construction, enhance regulatory capacity building, promote efficient governance, vigorously encourage innovation in cosmetic raw materials, support domestic beauty brands going global, and assist in the high-quality development of the industry
