The reporter learned today that in 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation will approve and release a batch of national standard substances in the field of food safety, involving food and agricultural product quality testing, among other aspects. This includes 45 national first-level standard substances and 59 national second-level standard substances. The newly approved national standard substances will help monitor and control pesticide and veterinary drug residues, contamination by toxic and harmful substances in food, as well as the detection and analysis of nutritional components in food and the safety of genetically modified foods
