# UNIVERSE ENT released its interim results, with a loss attributable to shareholders of HKD 74.277 million, turning from profit to loss year-on-year

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, UNIVERSE ENT (01046) released its interim results for the six months ending December 31, 2024, reporting total revenue of HKD 249 million, a year-on-year decrease of 15.99%; the loss attributable to shareholders was HKD 74.277 million, compared to a profit of HKD 518,000 in the same period last year; the loss per share was HKD 0.0819.

The group's loss during this period increased compared to the previous period, mainly due to an impairment loss of approximately HKD 64.5 million related to film copyrights and films in production (previous period: none). This impairment loss was confirmed due to the actual and expected revenue generated from these film copyrights and films in production decreasing
