The Electric Furnace Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association is officially established, with Huang Yongjian serving as the first president of the branch

According to the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, on the morning of February 28, the founding conference of the Electric Furnace Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, hosted by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association and organized by Hebei Iron and Steel Group Shijiazhuang Steel Company, was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. At the meeting, the Electric Furnace Steel Branch was officially established. According to the election results, Huang Yongjian, Deputy General Manager of Hebei Iron and Steel Group and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shijiazhuang Steel Company, was elected as the first president of the Electric Furnace Steel Branch; Luo Tiejun was appointed as the Executive Vice President of the branch; Wang Jinhui and 14 other comrades were appointed as Vice Presidents of the branch; and Shi Hongwei was appointed as the Secretary-General of the branch
