# Shenzhen: Support leading enterprises in the industrial chain and listed companies to engage in corporate venture capital

> The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Supervision and four other departments issued a notice to support leading enterprises in the industrial chain and listed companies in conducting corporate venture capital, promoting collaborative innovation between upstream and downstream. They plan to establish a specialized mother fund aimed at CVC institutions, jointly funded by industry leaders and listed companies to set up "chain master" funds, facilitating the supplementation, strengthening, and extension of key industries. At the same time, state-owned enterprises are encouraged to increase their investment in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and small and medium-sized enterprises through private equity and venture capital funds. Eligible enterprises can be recorded as venture capital enterprises and apply for tax incentives

The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Supervision and four other departments issued a notice on the "Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of Venture Capital and Private Equity in Shenzhen," which proposes to support leading enterprises in the industrial chain and listed companies in conducting corporate venture capital. It encourages leading enterprises in Shenzhen's industrial chain, large technology companies, and listed companies to engage in corporate venture capital around the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and participate in collaborative innovation; explores the establishment of specialized mother funds aimed at CVC institutions, jointly funded by industry leaders, listed companies, and others to establish a number of "chain leader" funds, promoting the "supplementing, strengthening, and extending" of key industries. It supports state-owned enterprises in the city and district to leverage their own advantages and conditions to increase investment in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and small and medium-sized enterprises in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain through private equity and venture capital funds. The aforementioned enterprises and institutions that meet the conditions can be filed as venture capital enterprises and apply for tax incentives in accordance with the law
