# YCNE plans to acquire a 65.5456% stake in Meishan Lake to increase graphite electrode production capacity

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, YCNE (300080.SZ) announced that the company's board of directors has reviewed and approved the proposal regarding the acquisition of a partial equity stake in Shanxi Meishan Lake Technology Co., Ltd. The company agrees to jointly acquire 70% of the equity stake in Shanxi Meishan Lake Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Meishan Lake") held by Hainan Jinhaitang Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Hainan Jinhaitang") with the company's management shareholding platform (proposed to establish "Zhengzhou High-end Carbon Material Consulting Partnership (Limited Partnership)"). The company will use its own funds of 73.5739 million yuan to acquire 65.5456% of the equity stake in Meishan Lake held by Hainan Jinhaitang, while the management shareholding platform will use its own funds of 5 million yuan to acquire 4.4544% of the equity stake in Meishan Lake held by Hainan Jinhaitang.

The announcement stated that Meishan Lake is a national high-tech enterprise and a specialized and innovative enterprise in Shanxi Province. It has established a project for the annual production of 35,000 tons of ultra-high power graphite electrodes and a project for the annual production of 30,000 tons of graphite for lithium battery anode materials. This acquisition of 65.5456% of Meishan Lake's equity will help increase the production capacity of graphite electrodes, strengthen the main business of graphite electrodes, and the region where Meishan Lake is located has absolute advantages in electricity prices and natural gas production factor prices, which can significantly reduce production costs and improve the company's profitability
