# NVIDIA to change its name? Foreign media reports it may be changed to "NVID AI"

A technology information website in the United States reported that artificial intelligence (AI) chip leader NVIDIA intends to change its company name to "NVID AI," which involves separating the last two letters of the English name and swapping their positions to emphasize the company's AI specialty. However, the news was released on April Fool's Day in the U.S., and its credibility remains to be verified.

The TweakTown website cited Tech Daily, mentioning that the idea for the name change originated within CEO Jensen Huang's inner circle. Recently, during a meeting of senior executives, someone suggested replacing the "IA" at the end of NVIDIA with "AI," which received applause.
