This decision is unrelated to Microsoft China, and Micro Innovation will continue to collaborate with other clients. The Ministry of Commerce of China stated that it will continue to protect the legitimate rights and interests of foreign-funded enterprises Mainland media reported that a screenshot of an email regarding "Microsoft will adjust its global strategic layout" circulating online has sparked market discussions. The screenshot involves layoffs at Shanghai Micro Innovation Software Co., Ltd., which is unrelated to Microsoft China. Micro Innovation will cut about 2,000 people from its Microsoft project team in China. The circulated screenshot indicates that "due to changes in the geopolitical and international business environment, Microsoft will adjust its global strategic layout and will officially cease operations in the China region tomorrow (the 8th). This decision will mean that the relevant work of the Microsoft project team will also be stopped simultaneously." The report cites a Microsoft China representative stating that Micro Innovation is an outsourcing company established with the involvement of former Microsoft China president Tang Jun and has some business cooperation with Microsoft. Some Micro Innovation employees mentioned that Micro Innovation does not only have Microsoft as a client; it has teams in China, Japan, Hungary, and Vietnam handling Microsoft outsourcing projects, with the current layoffs mainly affecting the Microsoft project team in China. The Ministry of Commerce of China held a roundtable for U.S. enterprises yesterday, stating that it will continue to provide protection for foreign-funded enterprises in China, including U.S.-funded enterprises, and will legally protect the legitimate rights and interests of foreign-funded enterprises while actively promoting the resolution of issues raised by foreign-funded enterprises ### Related Stocks - [MSFT.US - Microsoft](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFT.US.md) ## Related News & Research | Title | Description | URL | |-------|-------------|-----| | Vuzix Launches All-in-One Enterprise Solutions Kits Featuring Native Microsoft Teams™ and Zoom™ for Hands-Free Remote Assistance \| VUZI Stock News | Vuzix Corporation has launched Vuzix Solutions, a portfolio of integrated smart glasses deployment kits aimed at enhanci | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/276235427.md) | | TCI Fund Management Ltd Boosts Microsoft Stake by 189,749 Shares | TCI Fund Management Ltd, led by Christopher Anthony Hohn, has increased its Microsoft stake by 189,749 shares.
