# Trump's close allies bought stocks such as Tesla, NVIDIA, and Nike before the epic rebound in the U.S. stock market

On the day before U.S. President Trump announced a 90-day suspension of high tariffs on most countries, which stimulated a surge in the stock market, Federal Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene sold U.S. Treasury bonds and bought shares of Amazon, Blackstone Group, and Tesla. Other stocks purchased by Greene include chip manufacturers NVIDIA, AMD, and Qualcomm, as well as apparel companies Lululemon Athletica Inc. and Nike. The Republican from Georgia has a close relationship with Trump. Her financial report from last week disclosed these transactions. It is currently unclear how many of Greene's trades occurred before Trump's announcement to suspend tariffs. However, at least purchases ranging from $11,011 to $165,000 took place on April 8
